Early Onset Ski Psychosis EOSP
Early adult onset of pre-season ski psychosis is upon us with the opening of the Santa Fe Ski Swap today. With the weather its usual balmy 70 degree's I have noticed an acute change in the onset of the EOSP condition.Here at Sangre de Cristo Mountain Works we too are beginning to feel the pangs of the mysterious winter before us.With a rack full of the hottest Telemark and AT Ski's and a Wall full of boots we are locked and loaded for what we hope will pan out to be a winter of joyous indulgence.

So this week we got a bunch of cool new stuff in the store like Volkl Ski's for example, there really cool and there really fast too. We are sort of the back country experts around town so we like to carry cool stuff just ask Bob Lee, our in-house ski doctor. Oh yeah if you want him to do a really good ski boot fit he will probably charge you for it, if not in green back then definetly in Beer. We also are sporting a great fall collection of outerwear from Cloudveil (we were just nominated an inspired mountain retailer by them, impressive huh?), Patagonia, Mountain Hardwear and ArcTeryx and there are quite a few more but You will need to come in and see for your self.
So I am a little sore today as I was hit in the head with a frying pan for using my lovely wife's Iron ( the one for the clothes) to wax my ski's. I am a believer that when one is losing faith in Mother Nature tempting her with the smell of petex and wax is often a good solution. I innocently set to waxing when I turned to be met with a 10 gauge iron fryer. ( Not really but it makes the story better) , So thats, thats.Now back to my point.
Weather is a light obsession of most of ours, and as the season approaches, I know our friends over at the Weather Channel are scripting up some real action for us daily so as to keep us well informed of the changing weather up to the minute. They are sort of heroe's in my eye's and truly unsung celebrities as they go out and duct tape themselves to poles in hurricanes and fires so as to really give us the ultimate sense of mother natures true power. If I were drinking I would raise a glass to those Blue Coated hero's of the technical outerwear world. How could we function without 24 hour weather and up to the minute forcasting.
