Birthed from a passion for the mountains, SDC Mountain Works, where our work is your play! About Us Sangre de Cristo Mountain Works was founded in 1994 by F. Kent Little as a specialty mountaineering store in Santa Fe New Mexico. Little, originally from the mid western United States, moved to Santa Fe to create a life in the mountains and to pursue a passionate lust for Climbing and Back Country skiing. Having spent most of his life pursuing adventures in the outdoors, a life in climbing shops and outdoor stores was inevitable. Little's passion for the outdoors has afforded many great achievements personally and professionally. A graduate of Outward Bound Leadership School as well as the National Outdoor Leadership School Little has been no stranger to adventuring in the outdoors. A passionate Skier, Climber, Paddler and Fisherman Little has skied and climbed all over North America. Little's Climbing and skiing career have taken him to the summit of Rainier via two technical routes, a bid on Aconcogua the highest mountain in the Americas, 4000 ft back country ski runs in the Canadian Rockies not to mention climbing junk-its to many of North America's greatest climbing areas. "I can only hope that my love for the outdoors is greatly conveyed in our effort to better serve our customers". With eighteen years in the Outdoor business and 30 years of outdoor experience, Little has deftly blended his personal and professional lives through the creation of Sangre De Cristo Mountain Works.
